I/ITSEC — the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference — is the world's largest modeling, simulation, and training conference. Organized by the National Training and Simulation Association, the conference is held annually in Orlando, Florida and draws large crowds from industry, academia, and the defense community. Last year, over 16,000 people attended.
At this year’s conference, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Innovation Lab and the Department of Defense’s Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative (ADL) are holding a special event focused on the Future Learning Ecosystem — a system-of-systems concept that promotes interoperability across modeling, simulation, and learning technologies.
Beginning Monday, November 26, the event will feature a tutorial and a trio of workshops. Brent Smith from ADL will be leading a Tuesday workshop exploring the Total Learning Architecture. Yet Analytics’ CEO Shelly Blake-Plock will be leading the Wednesday morning workshop on Data Analytics in the Future Learning Ecosystem. And Dr. Sydney Heimbrock from the Center for Leadership Development will be facilitating a Wednesday afternoon workshop on Human and Organizational Implementation Planning. The event is being facilitated by Dr. Jennifer J. Vogel-Walcutt, Director of Innovation at ADL and Human Innovation Fellow at OPM and will culminate in innovation presentations on Thursday, November 29.
I/ITSEC takes place at the Orange County Convention Center at 9899 International Drive in Orlando, Florida. For more information, please see iitsec.org.
