BALTIMORE, MD — At this year’s Learning Solutions conference, data analytics startup Yet Analytics will be presenting a case study on the use of new data technologies to better understand the habits and workflows of software development teams. The presentation is being given as part of the conference’s DemoFest, sponsored by Raytheon.
LS DemoFest is a showcase of innovative training and performance projects presented by designers and developers from around the country and across industries, ranging from enterprise learning and development to healthcare and municipal training projects.
“We’re very excited to be presenting at Learning Solutions DemoFest,” said Yet chief marketing officer, Margaret Roth, “The presentations are going to include such a broadly diverse set of real-world applications of new data technologies.”
At the core of Yet Analytics’ data platform is the Experience API (xAPI). Cited by Raytheon as one of the trends that will shape learning and development in 2016, xAPI is a data specification originally designed by the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative. It allows for the interoperable collection of activity and performance data from across a wide range of data sources. Yet Analytics has contributed to the growing open source community galvanized around the specification and has designed new data technologies and applications leveraging xAPI in the space of mobile and web services, virtual reality, and even wearables and Internet of Things devices and sensors.
“The application of learning technologies to problems outside of the traditional domain of learning, and the application of the full range of technologies we use at work and at play everyday to what happens in the domain of learning — this is at the center of what xAPI represents,” said Yet Analytics CEO Shelly Blake-Plock, “We are very happy to see it highlighted at an event as exciting and influential as Learning Solutions.”
Learning Solutions DemoFest will be held at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista at 5:00pm on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
